Hi, I’m Alex, though most people know me as Illustrated Alex. I’ve been tattooing since the old-school, pre-internet days, learning through repetition, observation, drawing, and years behind the machine.
For 18 years I owned and operated Mountainside Tattoo in Bellows Falls, Vermont. That history is part of the Illustrated Alex mark, including the skull and the stylized “A” that grew out of my legacy and my name.
Today, Illustrated Alex Tattoo & Piercing is a private appointment-based studio at 30 Opera House Square in Claremont, New Hampshire. I also guest spot in Connecticut and California, with future travel plans connected to my ambulance project.
Eastern-Inspired, Personal, Appointment Only
The Claremont studio has an Eastern-inspired feel with plants, natural textures, Japanese-style visual influence, and a curated atmosphere. It is not built to feel like a tattoo factory. It is built around one-on-one work, conversation, and custom art.
The studio is appointment-based so clients can receive focused attention from start to finish.
